These are a collection of books that I think are invaluable and foundational to reconstructing the Heathen Worldview and Practice. That said, please do not think any of these books should be taken as a “Bible”, as with all things there are instances where the grain must be separated from the chaff. Also, please don’t make the mistake of trying to reconstruct non-religious social structures and attitudes as part of Heathenry. Society can and must evolve; it is our gods and the proper ways to honor them that we seek to reconstruct, not a less just society.

There are many other books and academic papers I’ve gathered great insight and knowledge from but I hate when starter/foundational booklists are a mile long! I’ll be featuring some of these additional sources in blog posts over time.
